When to build the cot?

Im currently 32 weeks pregnant and need to have the cot set up before the babies arrival.
When would be the best time to build the cot, as i don't want to leave it too late, but also don't want it just gathering dust?

Its just personal choice really, but we aimed each time to have things pretty much set up by 36 weeks. As it was I was quite ill with my first and at 37+2 the said they would induce me if things didn't improve, I can remember thinking I was glad all the baby stuff was read at home. As it turned out though, things stabilised and with bed rest I didn't deliver until 40+2 so I needn't have worried!
