Diarrhoea and vomiting in early pregnancy

Have been awake since 4am with vomiting(mostly) and diarrhoea (sorry TMI).

Have not had my booking in appointment yet so no midwife allocated, just wondering if I should call the EPU. Vomiting has slowed down. Not sure if it is a bug or food poisoning (not sure what it could be from).

Am 10 weeks.

Should I just call EPU to make sure all will be okay or am I being a bit silly?

Have just called EPU, they won't see me because of D and V....recommended I go to A and E to check electrolytes....would it be silly of me to just try and keep my fluids up, or should I get checked out...I am not sure I can handle the journey there and back!

Why would you go to an EPU?

I don't understand - it is d and v?? Sorry but i do think you are over reacting

try not to worry moobaadoublequack - i had the worst bug of my life at 6 weeks with DS and at 8 weeks with this pregnancy. First time round i called doctor, he said if i was still vomiting after 12-14 hrs to call him back and they would see about giving me something to make it stop but it did but diarrhoea persisted for a few more days. This time dia was for 7 days! You can have dyrolite to replace fluids. Your baby will be just fine, will get all it needs from your supplies, but you will feel terrible for a bit until you recover, Plenty of rest, eat little and often when you can.
