I don't know if my little boy is enjoying the (veggie) roast I just had, complaining he wants some chicken like his daddy, or if he's just getting squashed! He seems to kick like the clappers everytime I eat anything! x

Mine kicks every time I eat, I have no idea why, but honestly within minutes of me beginning a meal, it feels like she's doing karate.

I suppose it must be pretty dull in there, food is the highlight of the day probably! haha :)
Read on the cow and gate baby website that they develop taste buds around 20 weeks and can taste your food. However this has been rubbished by two of my housemates who are doing masters degrees in biology :( x

I called mine the heat-seeking-missile because every time I ate warm food it started zooming around.

They can't taste your food but strong flavours do pass into the amniotic fluid which they will be able to pick up on (sugary tastes, garlic, curry etc).

Yep! Every time I sit down to dinner he starts wriggling and squirming like mad and to add to that I reckon about 3 or 4 nights a week I get braxton hicks at dinner time too which is soooo off putting. Might explain the reason why that at 32 weeks vie only put on 1lb in weight!

It's their way of saying 'oh are you eating? can I have some?'

Just you wait till later, every time you try and grab a bit of food they will start screaming like they're starving. I lost count of the meals I missed cos a newborn suddenly decided it needed another feed Right Now.

Good luck!
