Is this normal .. I'm starting to worry as for the last hour I've had period type pains .. and a sore lower back. Is this normal and just a growth spurt of something or is it something to worry about?

Does it feel like it could be the start of labour if you were at term? I had something similar and was a uti.

wolfcubEm83 · 27/03/2011 19:25

Im a first timer

FessaEst · 27/03/2011 19:26

Give your MW or labour suite a ring. It might be nothing, it might be something - best to get it checked out. If it's a uti, the earlier you start antibiotics the better.

FourFortyFour · 27/03/2011 19:26

Well I hadn't been in labour before but it was how I imagined it would be. Have you had any braxton hicks yet?

amyamyamy · 27/03/2011 19:32

I am not any kind of expert but it can't do any harm to ring the midwife. Labour pain is identical to period pain....uterine contractions.

wolfcubEm83 · 27/03/2011 19:37

FourFortyFour I never thought about a UTI but now i look at my symptoms i think that could be my answer. Im on the loo every 5 mins and when i press on my lower tummy it makes me want to go again, will contact GP's in the morning. Dynababy hope you get your answer soon and thanks for letting me tag along x

Dynababy · 27/03/2011 19:38

Also first timer and not sure I know what braxton hicks feel like either Blush
