Had bleeding after sex with DD! She's 2.5 now so pregnancy went fine. Midwife said it was probably because my cervix was a little sensitive due to pregnancy. I didn't bleed alot just spotting/blood when I wiped and the it stopped. No cramping. Speak to midwife but I am sure it will be fine.x

Agree - speak to the midwife/GP. I had this with first child , but a bit later on in the pregnancy and was given some antibios in case I had an infection. Some people do still have small periods and spotting throughout with no ill effects.

Admittedly mine was later on in the pregnancy too.x

I had this in first trimester. But mine was only a pinprick and only when I wiped.

I had this too at 8wks, because i had previously M/C docs sent me for an early scan and everything was fine :) Told it was quite normal but always best to get checked out ..

I had this 3 times in the first trimester - midwife and doctor said it's because you are "more vascular" (bleed easier) when you are pg. Also as has already been said your cervix is more sensive and blood vessels there are more swollen. Mine was quite a bit each time so I ended up in EPU twice and A&E once. I'm now 24wks and all is well. (Have stopped bleeding after having sex now.)

As long as it's not a lot of blood, it's not sustained, and not accompanied by cramping you will be fine. I have had a m/c and believe me there's a lot of blood - sorry if that's TMI.

I'm currently 10+4 and have had this since conceiving. Every time we have sex I have a little blood after. It is perfectly normal and every scrap of info i've read says it is to be expected. Don't worry.
