Braxton Hicks in the first trimester?

Hi I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and have been having what can only be described as braxton hicks contractions. I had them early with my first pregnancy (16 weeks) but I was carrying twins so was told that was normal. They don't hurt at all they just feel a little strange. I had a scan a week ago which showed a happy little baby with a heart beat but am feeling a little concerned that 9 weeks is awfully early to be experiencing this. Does anybody have any knowledge or experience of this?

I had them at 16 weeks with my first and earlier each time with subsequent (now on #4). My MW (who is lovely) said that's it's nothing to worry about, it just shows your body knows what is happening and is gearing up for the main event. They don't worry me anymore at all. They just wind me up as I find them annoying!

I've read that braxton hicks start around 6 weeks into pregnancy it's just that the vast majority of women won't notice until they are a lot further along.

Yes I agree, I just googled it to death as was starting to fret. I think I am just very sensitive. I had a MMC last year so just a bit jumpy. It looks like it is normal to be getting these so early. I felt movement early last time too and even felt implantation happen with this pregnancy. I will double check with my midwife at my booking in apt too but I feel a little less freaked out. Thanks!
