Third trimester breathing pains

Hi

Since early afternoon, I have had pains in my upper chest and shoulders when I am taking a deep breath. I don't feel like I am short of breath and baby is wriggling away. It's breach but it doesn't feel like the head pushing up as it is higher up. Has anyone else had anything like this?

No but give your midwife a call as she will be able to reassure/advise you.

Have you had any swelling or pain in your leg?

Thanks for replying. No - there's nothing else different, just feels like I can't take a full breath. I am currently drinking peppermint tea wondering if it is trapped wind as a bit late to try and get hold of a midwife. Wondered if it might be one of those later pregnancy things that just seem to pop up!

I would still seek medical advice. I would ring NHS direct or your delivery suite for advice. It's probably nothing, but it's worth checking.

Thanks, I just have and they have told me to go in - just waiting for my dh to get back from his one and only night out in about a month! Typical...

I'm sure he'll understand! Hope everything is ok. Smile

Thanks! Went to the labour ward to be checked - they ran quite a few tests but but as my oxygen seems to be ok they don't really know what it is. Got sent home at 3 this morning and told to go back if it gets worse. A nice day of rest for me! They were lovely on the ward and said it was completely the right thing to call and go in.
