Hi all,
I'm 18+4 and have just been referred to a consultant for low platelets. They aren't too low at the moment (and to be honest, i've always had low platelets...). 10 week reading was 114 and 16 week reading was 126.
having googled, I've obviously found all the horror stories about needing infusions before labour, not being able to have an epidural / ventouse / forceps, having to have general anaesthetic for an EMCS, risk of blood loss....etc!
Just wondered how concerned I should be at this point (not that there's any point in worrying anyway) Did any of you start with a count in the 110's / 120's and drop dramatically during later pregnancy? I just want to get some idea of various scenarios (especially if there were no complications and everything went smoothly!)
And yes, I know my count isn't particularly low and there will be ladies on here who went down to the 20's and 30's level and will think "what are you worried about!" but I can't help my concern!
Thanks
