Hi,

I feel my baby kick which is lovely but when i went for my antenatal appointment the other day, when the midwife was listening to my babies heart beat she said "oo she is moving can you feel it?" and i really couldnt!

Is this normal that i cant feel her moving all the time? Im 29+3 weeks.

Thanks

Do you know where your placenta is?

Mine was anterior with DS and I didn't feel as much as I did with DD who was posterior.

I have no idea where my placenta is - my midwife doesn't seem to tell me anything!

Crazychic - check your hospital notes. My sonographer completed a form in there which confirms that I too am anterior. (But awwww.... I just get gooey thinking of the little egg implanting anywhere!)

By the way, I'm sure there's absolutely nothing to worry about. Your midwife was just making conversation.

When I go to the midwife shes always saying how much my baby moves and I dont feel a thing, but I do have fibroids that make my uterus lining thicker so cant feel as much as everyone else. Placenta in the front of the bump can do the same thing. Im sure its fine though as long as you feel it sometimes. Im kind of glad I dont feel it all the time as it would keep me up more than it already does at night.

I have a posterior placenta (whatever that means)! I suppose I'm glad I don't feel her move all the time because when she does, it makes me jump!

That's at the back. It could just be the position of the baby.
