Does anyone else's nose swell up during PG?

I noticed in my first PG that towards the end my nose was noticeably huge. I don't have a small nose in the first place but during PG it seemed to swell slightly each month and then actually looked a lot bigger by the end. It went back to normal after birth (not that I was really paying much attention at this stage since I was so busy with new LO).

Anyway, it is completely vain but I am just interested to find out if anyone else gets this? My face swells up slightly too by the end of the 3rd trimester which I know is normal but having a huge nose too?

LOL I am just imagining your nose! (sorry). I do seem to have a constant cold and horrible sinuses, so something's swelling somewhere...

I googled a bit and saw some stuff about the hormones that make your hips/pelvis expand can affect the cartlidge in your nose too causing it to swell but I have no medical evidence for this or anything like it. Just some random info others have mentioned so maybe I am not alone.

.....and it doesn't get HUGE or anything, just I noticed it when we were looking over photos from last PG of how massive my bump was and I saw how bloated my face was and my nose looked distinctively porky... It's one of those things I am really quite aware of since I broke it when I was young and lots of people quite openly ask "Oh, did you break your nose sometime?" rude b*strds.

If it's any help my nose is red raw and is quite big normally anyway!

It's weird though how women do look different when pregnant. Maybe it's just ordinary bloating but I've met up again with some friends who I last met just after giving birth, and a few months later they look about ten years younger

When I was pg with DS, we saw my brother when I was around 8 months. The first thing he said when he saw me was 'Sis your nose looks pregnant!'. And sure enough, it did.

Same again this time. I'm due in 2 days and it has really spread and is also quite red!!

Hopefully it will be back to normal by this time next week :)

If you watch this morning on itv you will notice that Holly Willoughby's nose has gained weight during her pregnancy.....well i think it has, x

I think mine has. I cant really afford for it get much bigger but I was trying to work out the other day why my face looked different and it is true, my snozza is bigger. It might be due to having constant nose bleeds and sniffles, or the over emotional states I keep finding myself in...still, that makes it match my puffy eyes I guess! I am really hoping it will go down after the birth otherwise I'll scare the LO.
I've always thought that Princess Di's nose changed in her first pg - look at photos before and after and see if you think so too.
