Cheese - Is Creme de St Agur safe to have during pregnancy?

I really fancy some strong tasting cheese, but I know I have to avoid most of them during pregnancy,

However is the above mentionned one safe to have?

Sainsbury's website describes it as:

Spreadable cheese with a mild blue taste & smooth, creamy texture

If it is not, any suggestion?

Thank you

Hi,

Study the label and look for the word pasturised in the ingrediants list. If thats there i would eat it! If not - leave it. I'm no expert, but i know that pasturised means it's been heat treated till nothing survives...

Helmans maionaise for example, acording to my MW, is fine for this reason.

It's crab paste i cant decide on Hmm ok, or not ok?

I found the answer on the cheese website,

"it is so smooth that you won't feel the blue cheese which is in it..."

gone to cry over DH shoulder for the next 6 months!

I don't really know about crab paste, have never had any!

I was wondering the same thing babloogirl (I'm French too by the way) and I think that actually I might get myself a pot of it anyway...
