Falling Down ... Lordy!

WTF, I never fall down.

I have literally fallen down, tumbled - the whole 9-Yards twice today. I now am sitting here with my left thumb, right palm and right knee bleeding and a mess. Oh and I have torn jeans.

All this for going to the supermarket 4 minutes down the road.

  1. Is this normal?
  2. Does this get any better?!

... and please tell me I am not alone.

Sigh

(I don't want to buy more maternity jeans ... ugh)

I get terribly clumsy when I'm pregnant, I think it has something to do with the relaxin making your joints slightly looser, so you have less control over them..

It didn't really get any worse for me, just took on a different aspect as the bump got bigger and the balance worse, if that makes sense.

I fell backwards a couple of times at home. Just completely lost my balance. This was around 6m when I was first noticeably pg. I think it takes a while to get used to your changing centre of gravity (it moves upward and out to the front.) I've been steady on my feet since and am now 8m so a lot bigger.

Are you okay now? It sounds like you need to break open an Emergency Easter Egg.

Today I got up from kneeling, got my shoe stuck in the hem of my dress and fell onto my face. Then later on managed to get my dress tucked in my tights. It has not been a good day!

I have now typed a response twice and its disappeared before I got to publish. Spanner I agree - its also just nto my day.

Thank guys for your posts. I will now be much more careful and its kind of thrown me falling down like that (+ doing so much damage).

Lion - you have an egg you can pass along?

Smile.
