...just to let you know, Tesco are currently selling the Avent Isis breast pump (with 2 bottles and various extras) for £11.97 instead of £27! Absolute bargain

I know everyone's different but i started out with the Tommee Tippee pump and didn't get on with it at all (ripped my nips to shreds. Trust me, it only mimicks your baby's sucking action if you actually gave birth to a Dyson!), so i picked up the Avent one yesterday with my weekly shop totry, and it's fabulous. So much more comfortable. HTH.

buffytheharpsichordcarrier · 26/10/2005 12:29

Mumfun · 26/10/2005 16:22

I did like my medela one and will be using again but this does sounda good offer!

mummyhill · 27/10/2005 09:17

I like my ameda one for pumping at home and use an avent isis when out and about as the ameda is electric an a bit conspicuous (spelling). Sounds like an excellent offer.

Tinker · 27/10/2005 15:02

Thanks for the tip. Got mine today

nervousmum · 27/10/2005 16:56

Oooh, will go to Tescos later I sold mine on ebay last time (we were short of cash), and thought I'd have to buy one off ebay because the £27 was too much.

Tinker · 27/10/2005 17:20

It was actually £10.98, even cheaper.

Cadmum · 27/10/2005 17:34

That is a very good price! Wow. I wish I still lived in the UK. They are very expensive in Canda. (about 30 GBP)

flamebat · 27/10/2005 18:29

Full price in mine!!!!!!!!!!

Tinker · 27/10/2005 19:00

Are you sure fb? Some were still on the shelf with £27 but there were others (only a few) on another shelf at cheaper price but were the same. I would check at checkout.

flamebat · 27/10/2005 19:13

I'll try again tomorrow.... i'll go to Poole instead.

nervousmum · 28/10/2005 12:44

Well that was a very short-lived offer! I was in Tescos again earlier and they have put the pumps back up to full price!

Another vote for this pump, I've found it great - dh refers to me as daisy when I'm using it - he's learning to duck quickly .

Cadmum, if you want one I could see if they've got in Tesco near me and send one over if you want?!

flamebat · 28/10/2005 13:28

Been phoning round, and they say that its not on the offer in the Tescos round here!!!

Cadmum · 29/10/2005 01:30

Twiga: LOL at your DH calling you Daisy! He is not a quick study then!?!?! You are so kind to offer to send me a new one but I will manage with the same one I have used for the other 3 rascals! I will invest in a new one if I need to express more than I hope. By the time postage was added the price would be nearly the same. (1 GBP is about 2.5 CDN$) Thank you very much for the offer and the kind email. I intend to reply when I have a spare moment. (Who am I trying to fool? I will neglect my children to reply at some point, honest!)

teuch · 31/10/2005 12:42

got mine! it was 'reduced to clear' so only on offer for as long as they had stock...got last one

munz · 31/10/2005 13:12

I got the tommee teppee set last month - pump steraliser and bottles for £35 instead of £70.

fb - have u looked online?

SmithTheCat · 31/10/2005 13:32

I got a Medela Mini Electric at the local NCT sale for £15, although I have absolutely no idea what it will be like (sprog not even born yet). Seems to make an awful noise when switched on - not v good for subtle pumping while at work! Anyone tried this pump?

Laura032004 · 31/10/2005 18:28

Our Tesco's have loads on offer (£10.98). If anybody would like me to buy them one and post it, let me know
