Think I just need my mind putting at ease really. I've been to see my consultant today 26+1 and because I'm 36yrs and have a bmi slightly higher than the cut off of 35 he's put me on 75mg aspirin a day til EDD and as its used as an anti coagulant to thin the blood on my way home I began to worry a bit as I didn't want to increase my risk of bleeding. Obviously he's the consultant and knows best and I will do as he advices but I just wanted your opinions. Confused

That is certainly not routine although aspirin is used to good effect in preventing recurrent miscarriage and PET. We do sometimes have women who are prescribed blood thinners postnatally, but antenatally it is only usually for those who have a history of blood clots.
I probably wouldn't take it, I'd just exercise and eat well instead!
