Ask all your friends to donate old sheets and towels, you need loads and you don't want to be faffed with laundry afterwards so you need things you can just bin.

You can get cheap, massive plastic cover sheets from screwfix for a couple of quid or a tesco value shower curtain.

It's useful to have an angle poise lamp and a hand mirror so the MWs can see what's going on.

Warn your neighbours if you think you are going to be vocal Grin and also if you need to reserve a parking space for the MWs.

Hi,

I am planning a home water birth with an independent midwife. She has advised a cheap shower curtain for the floor! soft lighting, candles and some oils to burn if you like that sort of thing, also music!

JJJ - thanks for the website. I have had a brief look, just looking for insider views really. Whether there were any tips for things that one may not necessarily thought about!

Cheers for the tips for old sheets/towels - I would have never thought of that, and to go to screwfix for the plastic sheeting!

Ha ha ha - love the tip to inform the neighbours, will be quite funny how I bring it up in conversation though!!
