I would strongly advise waiting until your milk has come in! I know this may seem pretty late, but your chest is going to change in size and shape quite dramatically! I personally went up 3 cup sizes, and was a size smaller in the back after loosing some of the swelling from being pregnant!
In the first few days I just didnt bother wearing a bra at all. DS was feeding constantly and it was just too much bother.
Good luck for LOs arrival!

Maybe buy one now for the first few days but otherwise I agree with Rachie - you really need to get them fitted once you've lost your bump and your shape has settled back down.

I'm 36 weeks too and was pondering the same problem - I've gone for a couple of cheap nursing vests from mothercare to take into hospital and use for the first couple of weeks.

They come in dress sizes and are ruched to fit a bump, so thought they would do for a bit of support at the beginning and would probably come in for a bit of use over the summer anyway.

Nursing bras are so expensive I'm going to wait until size settles down before I take the plunge!

I bought mine at 37 weeks mw and bravissimo both suggested after 36 weeks when bump drops, stick with same rib size & maybe size up 1 in cup
fwiw the bravado ones I bought on line are by far the comfiest but if you do buy them size up as they're dual sized, so I'm 34g but bought 34h/I!!!

Worth starting to think about it now, so you have 1 or 2 before the big day. You can always buy more afterwards.

NCT do a good fitting service.

Had to buy new bras anyway as previous flat chest now doing its own thing (going up and down like a whores drawers actually and currently odd sized Confused ) so bought one maternity and two nursing fab comfy bras (Hot Milk)and pretty, but not cheap, but so what I like nice underwear. If/when my milk comes in and I change shape yet again - more nice undies will be purchased. If I keep my new found chest Im guessing I can use them again - I mean no one knows that there nursing bras.

Thanks for all the info ladies! Somewhere in the house I've got a box of nursing bras/vests from last time, so hopefully (once i find them) they will tide me over until my milk's come in! Otherwise I'll do as Tyrian suggests and get a new vest, as they were very handy last time
