Pelvic Support Belt

Hi Everyone,

I am really struggling at the moment with lower back/bum ache and after some research I think a pelvic support belt may help ease the pain.

Do any of you use a pelvic support belt and if so would you recommend any specific type?

Thanks, Kerri x

I had one like this given to me by my NHS physio.

It did help a bit

I've got a Serola. It's ace but you really need such things to be fitted by a physio. If you but one off the shelf and wear it you could do more harm than good. Eg if you has a pelvic imbalance you could be pulling your pelvis together but wrong if you see?

I got mine from Promedics, a company suggested by my nhs physio. It really did help.

Thank you all for your posts.

I have a docs appointment today so will see what they say. Not sure they would refer me to a physio although the pain is unbearable at times.

Have been advised by a friend to give yoga a try, not sure if that would be good or bad??

Thanks, Kerri x

I'd wait and see what the physio says. Don't try anything new until you've seen an expert.

Don't leave until you have a referral! If you ask then they cannot refuse without a very good reason. If you're in pain then you need to tell them how much and tell them how it is on a bad day not on a good day. Ie don't say 'most of the time it's manageable but sometimes it's excruciating' say 'it's excruciating'.
