it is 4am almost. I have been awake since 12. I can not sleep!

AAAARGH!

Ds has been talking/ shouting for hours but finally asleep. Dh has been snoring. My legs are restless. My brain won't shut down and I can't bloody sleep! Angry

At 34 wks I am really feeling it and we've had a really busy few days so even more tired than normal. And I can't sleep!

Bring on the night feeds- they were easy compared to this!

Sorry I needed to rant!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm with you! 31+4 and been awake since just before 4:30 when I made my 3rd trip of the night to the loo. Have got to take the ds to a rugby tournament in a few hours and wondering if it's worth going back to bed or should I just stick the telly on?

I blame the supermoon!!!

same here! 34 weeks and last night was the first night Ive had more than 4 hours. Thurs/Fri I had awful nights. Mine is due to stress (moving house) and acid reflux!

Best thing I did was at 1.30am, when I had been trying to go to sleep was get up, had some cereal and a drink, followed by gaviscon and then went to bed sitting up on mountain of pillows. then I fell asleep at last!

Hope you get some sleep soon!

I had that last week, am now 36 + 3 and for 5 nights I just couldn't get to sleep no matter how tired I was, then I caught this stupid cold, so when I could eventually drop off about 4, the runny nose woke me. Luckily I have managed a couple better nights.

I know people say its your body getting ready, but surely my body should know I can't function on no sleep :(

Oh I feel your pain, 35 + 3 and I never knew that lying down could turn into the most painful experience ever, is more than 2 hours in a row before needing the toilet too much to ask?

tlise · 21/03/2011 22:18

You can last 2 hours???? sobs

greenzebra · 22/03/2011 01:13

Im 31+2 weeks didnt think it would start this early, but here I am after 1 in the morning wide awake in front of the telly watching that Duggar women from the states give birth to her 18th child! Yikes, while sucking on an antacid tablet!
I really want to go back to bed and sleep but I know I should stay up a bit longer and let this tablet do its job.
Cant beleive that women has done this 18 times!

3rd night in a row with no sleep. Took yesterday as a sickie but can't do it today. So I'm up and about to set off for work looking like the living dead. Oh the joys!

greenzebra · 22/03/2011 07:58

clarabella18 Im the smae after that night, I feel like crap! My back hurts too. Just want to go and sleep but can't. And I bet I will be up again tonight, hoping that yoga later will help.

moogdroog · 22/03/2011 08:02

Same here. 32 + 5 and waking up about 3-4 am till 6ish (time to get up for work) every night. I've even become familiar with a crazy bird doing an elaborate dawn chorus..
Could sleep any amount of hours in the day, but don't have that luxury.
Most annoyed.
