I am now 40+5. Everytime I see the midwife she talks about how big the baby is but at my 40+1 appt with her she didn't check my cervix or even offer a sweep. Is this normal?

due dates are not an exact science...very very common to be 7 - 10 days over. Internal exams are intrusive, obv, so a midwife might not want to do that if there's no other signs of impending birth.

it can be such a uncertain time in an age where we're used to everything being known about in advance. just one of the lessons our children have to teach us...they come when they are ready and we are just along for the ride!

wishing you a wonderful birth day and patience until you get to meet your little one

(BTW, not wanting to freak you out but I went 40 + 17 with DD2 and had a wonderful VBAC)
