bad cough

Ive had a bad cold for a week now, feeling bit better now tho, but now ive got this really bad tickly cough. this may sound silly but im wondering can me coughing so violently harm baby and/or squeeze out the amniotic fluid? im 15 weeks today.

I'm 30 weeks and have the same thing. Don't think it can do the baby any harm, but have you got anything to take for it as it's really tiring having a hacking cough, not what you need when already tired from being pg.

I am 19 weeks and have exactly the same problem and actually went to see my doctor this morning. I asked if my constant coughing could harm the baby and was told no, as 'babies are reslient little parasites'

So fed up with it, can only take glycerin cough medicine which is pretty useless.

I had an horrendous cough for the first few weeks of pregnancy and the on and off since, now 35 weeks and baby ok and amniotic fluid still intact. Hope you feel better soon.
