What colour? and could you mistake serious indigestion for actual labour? tia

Mine were clear and they were broken in hospital with quite a rush but I know this isnt always the case.
I didn't have indigestion in labour but I bet others have.
How far along are you? If you have no other symptoms you could try gaivscon?

Waters broke in a gush in my case and it was a very clear fluid, with no colour as far as I remember.

When I started contracting I was in denial convinced it was indigestion (despite my waters having just broken 4 hours before - duh!) until my DH stated the bleeding obvious, i.e. that my "stomach cramps" were coming every 5 minutes and it was time to wake up and smell the labour!

never had indigestion symptoms associated with labour.

Should also have said I did also have a BM and threw up in early labour, so yes, I'd say labour can sometimes start off like indigestion.

thank you. I'm 40+3 Have tried gaviscon with no luck, also wind eze incase it's just a bit of wind. The pain is high up, not regular and my bump does get quite tight. I've slept on the sofa for 2 nights now trying to keep upright but it's not really helping:(

my waters went with a big gush, were clear and smelt ever so slightly of semen

how are you doing now? i didn't have any indigestion feelings but everyone is different...
