Now enjoying my big bump

I've spent so much of this PG feeling ill, suffering nausea, followed by dreadful/persistent acid reflux, then a reflux cough which ment no sleep for weeks, not to mention the stress of getting to work when it was all icey afraid I'd fall etc. More recently I have dreadful pelvic pain & I'm hobbling & waddling at best. All the time my bump has been concealed behind warm winter coat so people have just thought I'm fat (if they thought anything at all).

So it's been really lovely these last few days, as it's been much warmer and I've been out & about without my winter coat, bump now out there loud & proud (I'm 34 weeks)

I've been offered seats on the bus, all the check out ops at M&S and Sainsburys etc are asking how long to go? and being really chatty & sweet, people are insisting I go first in crowded supermarket etc, strangers asking after my welfare & do you know what you are having etc in queues. This is my 2nd child & I'd forgotten just how lovely people can be to PG people and how nice it is to be on the receiving end of a little bit of 'special' treatment during the last few months.

All the misery of past few months just dissolves in the presence of a smiling old lady wishing me well! So to all of you out there being lovely to the pregnant people, thank you Smile. It is much appreciated.

Aren't most people just lovely and kind? Pregnancy really brings out the milk of human kindness and restores your faith in humanity.

I got offered three seats on the tube yesterday for a one stop journey, it was all I could do to not sob.

Ah it's a lovely world out there
x

I agree Looby - you get to a point in your PG when everyone just turns on the smiles & charm & it's really rather lovely!!!
