Toddler decided to jump on my tummy

I'm 15 weeks and was lying on the sofa with 2yr old DC getting him off for his nap. The phone rang so I rolled onto my back to grab it and DC got excited because he loves the phone. In his scramble to grab it out of my hand he managed to jump on my tummy with both feet. He literally jumped on and then jumped off but he's not exactly light and I was flat on my back, I'm a little bit worried he might have damaged something. I've not got any pain. Can I get some reassurance please?

My sister had this problem when pregnant last year and was paranoid about it. Her midwife told her that the baby is very well protected in there and as long as you don't have any pain I would try not to worry yourself too much. If your in any doubt at all ring your midwife and ask her advice - I'm sure she'll soon put your mind at ease. Smile

Hi

A similar thing happened to me, DD stood right on my bump! I phoned NHS and they said that if there was no bleeding or cramping it would be fine, I am 15 weeks now and feeling movements so it was fine for me. But def ask your midwife. Smile

don't worry - I'm 31 weeks PG, DS1 has been clambouring all over me from the beginning, including jumping. I was very worried too, and spoke to DR, I understand how you feel but it really is fine. The womb is a very well protected space and it would take far more force to cause any damage.
