Electric shock pen and 32 weeks pregnant

Someone gave me an electric shock with a pen and I am 32 weeks pregnant, I have looked online and it says about this product "Not to be used on pregnant women" Does anyone have any experienc of this? I phoned my midwife who consulted with the doctor and said it is unlikely to harm the baby, but count the movements and if less than 10 phone back.Baby is moving a lot anyway.

I managed to give myself a shock on an electric fence at about 28 weeks, I would think that a small shock off an electric pen would be nothing to worry about, especially if the MW and Dr say so, and as baby is moving lots!

Those kind of statements are a get out for the company, rather like the "not to be used by children under 3" on a printed (no attachments) greeting card. Don't panic! It is totally harmless.

What is an electric shock pen?

designergirl · 15/03/2011 15:35

It's a joke pen. When you press on the top of it it gives you an electric shock

Bet that person is not popular. What were they thinking?!

designergirl · 15/03/2011 18:03

I do not know! I think they were just being silly, didn't really realise wht they were doing

Some kind of sick joke then. What if they pressed it against someone with heart problems? Who thinks up these stupid gimmicks?
