I had a scan to check my placental postition (has moved from cervix so can have HB, yey)

She checked groth whilst she was there.

My notes say 'Ac on upper centile' and the graphs have 3 printed lines and he has a cross just above the top tine (30cm abdominal circ at 32 weeks.

What does this mean? is the middle line the 50th percentile? and th etp line is??

Hiya,
AC stands for abdominal circumference, and the 3 lines represent the range of 'averages'. You are right that the mid one is 50th centile - so bang on average - it means that 50% of babies are smaller and 50% of babies are larger that a baby who measures at that centile for that gestation.

It looks like you have a baby who has an AC at around the upper end of the normal scale.
AC is quite difficult to measure accurately as my consultant has told me! It is affected by the position of the baby and by the sonographer who conducts the scan, and the section they actually measure. There is also a margin of error of 20% (some say more!) on these measurements.

I honestly wouldnt worry one jot about it - if they were remotely concerened they would suggest another scan in 2 weeks (and not be happy about a HB!) to see whats happening in terms of growth over the time period.
Remember those lines represent all the scope of 'normal' babies who do vary just like we all do when we are out!.

I have just checked all my notes and graphs and cant find a reference for 'etp' so sorry cant help you with that one
take care and enjoy these last few weeks!
