Anyone else feeling a bit down? I'm really happy to be pregnant (6weeks) but feeling a bit low and worried i'm not ready to be a mum yet. Is this normal?

Congratulations and welcome to the rollercoaster world of pregnancy hormones! Yes, it's completely normal, don't worry!

Thank god! I was starting to feel like some awful monster. Really wanted to be pregnant and now I am everyone seems excited except me. Got horrible sickness and constipation and am fed up. Makes me sound really ungrateful doesn't it?

Nah, it doesn't - you are suffering and you are feeling awful. Some days of my first trimester I spent curled up in bed, feeling sorry for myself and wondering what the hell am I doing?

Once the sickness is gone, life becomes so much more enjoyable, and it'll be a lot easier to feel positive, especially when you've had your 12 week scan!

Constipation is evil, and unfortunately that can last all the way... Make sure you drink lots of water, do exercise (not easy when you're feeling sick, I know), eat lots of fibre, fruit and veg. Linseeds really helped me, a tablespoon per day in cereal or over a salad keeps you regular Grin. Alternatively, a lot of people swear by prune juice, dried figs etc
