I'm so scared got my scan tomorrow

So had mc and got pg again without a period in between. Got my first scan tomorrow am around 12 weeks mw thinks.

I'm scared, I'm so confused and nervous. Haven't td many people I'm pg yet. Part of me doesn't want to go tomorrow, not sure I could cope with seeing nothing there like my check up after mc.

Please someone tell me I am being stupid and to suck it up [weak grin]

You're not being stupid. In fact, I am v. v. v. impressed that you've held out to 12 weeks!! Really hope it goes well for you tomorrow - it's totally nerve wracking but hopefully you will get lovely news.

Of course you aren't silly to be scared, the memory of your last scan must be difficult.

You do need to go along tomorrow of course, don't go alone if you possibly can avoid it.

I'm not sure what would help really. Maybe closing your eyes until your companion or the sonographer tells you its okay to open them?! Once you see your baby everything will be fine, I'm sure but I think in your position it would be weird not to be nervous or scared.

A lovely obstetrician told me that I wouldn't relax until I had my baby in my arms for my next pregnancy after late mc. He was right - I didn't but it was all worth it in the end.

Dd woke me up at 4am and I couldn't reallygetback to sleep, just pleased it this morning so won't have to wait too long.
