Shall I find out the sex of my baby at my 19 week scan?

dh wants me to - we have 2 girls and, to be honest, he really really wants a boy and wants me to find out so he isn't horribly disappointed at the birth (if its another girl).

I don't care what I have (although having a boy would be easier in terms of family pressure!!)

I am hoping the baby will keep its legs crossed. I really don't want to know.

ooh I'll have the one with freckles

I have:

dark blonde hair, pinky pale skin, turned up nose and v blue eyes
bright blonde hair, super cute, blue eyes

dont be fooled by the cuteness though, the other one is probably the one that will stay around for longer (we think super cutie will be pg at 14)

The one without freckles has hyacynthine curls though but is probably more high maintenance than the freckly one who is also a great comedian and has lovely thick black eyelashes, so good choice. I'll go with the one likely not to get pg, if that's OK, both sound lovely...

GhostofNatt · 25/11/2005 12:37

Er, actually weren't we swapping the new ones, though?

Enid · 25/11/2005 12:37

yes she is good choice, low maintenance, sporty, kind.

very pleased about the eyelashes

you're on!

Actually fairer to swap existing ones, I guess.

GhostofNatt · 25/11/2005 12:40

and one sweet low maintenance one for another kind, low maintenance one seems fairest, who know what these new ones will be like? Someone might get a windfall

I think you should both have to pick one at random from the other family.

That way you get a surprise as well.

hunkermunker · 25/11/2005 12:52

Child swap lottery.

There's an Endemol format in there somewhere.

LadyTophamHatt · 25/11/2005 13:07

you cannot name a child wilf.

the poor thing will never thank you for it.

honeybunny · 25/11/2005 13:39

Hope its a Wilfred. Wilf or Wil. And please find out for dh's sake.

And there's no reason to worry that knowing will spoil the surprise. I was ecstatic knowing that dd was a girl and still had tears of joy and heart bursting moments when she was born because I couldnt quite believe that they had got it right.

Why don't you want to know?
