Thinking about being off sick tomorrow- it won't trigger mat leave early will it?

I can't find my leaflet about teacher pay and conditions on maternity leave.

I'm 33 wks and feel lousy. Ds has had sicky bug this weekend so had bugger all sleep. He's fine now tho. Dh has been away celebrating his 30th so I've been single parenting this weekend. I feel rough and might be getting ds bug as feel sicky (or my ms is returning!)

I'm thinking of calling in sick tomorrow but don't want to make my maternity leave start early.

What you think?

No, at 33 weeks it won't trigger mat leave. 36 weeks + for pregnancy-related illness is when mat leave is triggered.

Hope you feel better soon.

Cheers! Just found my book- I'd actually put it away properly!
You're spot on so picking up ds' bug wouldn matter even at 36 weeks.
Think I'll see how I feel/ sleep tomorrow.
:)
