Hi I have really bad back / kidney pain exactly like it was when I had a uti diagnosed at my 12week appt. Now I'm low risk 2nd preg at 19 weeks. It's a night mare to get a gp appt and bar my scan at 21 weeks I won't see mw till 28 weeks.

What's my best line of action? I can barley bend over!

How do i prevent them?

Hiya,

I dont really have any good advice for you im afraid but i can sympathise! I have always had problems, and now at 6 weeks i have a suspected uti. Have to wait till monday to ring the doctors to see if it is and get a prescrition! But i did find on the internet a walk in health clinic in our nearest town as i have had this for nearly two weeks off and on but today its worse so im going there tomorrow if i still feel rough!
If you google out of hours clinics near you, you may be able to find one somewhere and just go/ring them!

Make sure you drink water! Grin Thats what the internet advises!

Yes - find nearest walk in clinic and take a urine sample with you. Ring NHS direct and they can tell you the out of hours service. A UTI should be dealt with as an urgent appt.

Also- make sure you are drinking a glass of water every half hour.

Hiya, hows you feeling now? Did you find anywhere to get you checked out! I feel lots better so will wait to ring the docs tomorrow for my results!

Hi, went to local infirmary in the end. The doctor was the one I've had to take my dd to in the past for out of hours so he is nice (and quite dishy too)

He has sent it off but said I shouldn't feel like this, re the pain. Did shoe pressing on my pelvis as I was petrified it was SPd starting but it's fine.

I'm still achy and sore, weeing all the time so I think it is a uti.

Thanks for the advice, the Mw who I rang to find out where I should go echoed the message that it is urgent to get these thing sorted asap. I would have never thought that to be the case so thanks for letting me know x

Glad you got it sorted especially as it can trigger early labour
