Driving home after a sweep?

I'm 38+3 with DC2 and have been booked in for a sweep at 40+3. Obviously I'm hoping that it doesn't get that far, but if it does I was wondering whether anyone who's had a sweep could advise me on whether I'll have any problems driving myself home afterwards and whether I should take DH along with me to drive back?

The sweep has to be at the hospital as I have consultant care due to previous EMCS - it's about a half hour drive. DH is happy to come, but would need to take at least a half day off work and we'd like to save his holiday for after DC2 arrives as much as possible.

I will obviously arrange for childcare for DS1 (2.9) rather than have him helpfully commenting throughout...

Am I likely to be in agony or sufficient discomfort for driving not to be a good idea?

Many thanks!

I drove myself home after both. It's uncomfortable and a bit sore but I wasn't in agony.

I drove home too, but not very far, the alternative was a miles walk and I didn't fancy the thought of having my waters break half a mile from home :o
In the event, it was a bit uncomfy at the time, but didn't feel discomfort driving home and I had to be induced a week later as it didn't work.

Thanks both of you - that's very helpful.

Hopefully DH will be able to take it as a day working from home rather than annual leave, but if he can't then it's very useful to know that it wouldn't be impossible.

couple of things
first off - there's no particular reason for you to have the sweep at hospital. I had mine at home and I had a previous em c section. can the mw do it at a usual appointment instead?
second - I'd taxi or get dh to take you. I went straight into labour - as in instant strong contraction then ctx every 10 mins. probably not safe to drive in that situation and you might end up either staying (take bag with you) or wanting someone else to drive back
