Stretch Marks From 16 weeks

My sister is 8 months pregnant now, and she is covered in stretch marks! She used special stretch mark creams from really early stages in her pregnancy and they havn't worked at all! She got stretch marks on the inside of her legs and her hips at 16 weeks, and now at 8 months they are just starting to appear on my stomach. Shes really down about them and wishes they could go away.
Is anyone having the same problem or has any ideas of what she could do to help them?
Thanks.

You are getting stretch marks from your sister's pregnancy? Confused

I think unfortunately some people just have skin that is prone to stretchmarks. She should keep using the oils, moisturisers etc to minimise the effect, but don't get too down about it because they do fade in time.

hate to tell u i started getting them at 5 weeks - midwife commented they were worst shes ever seen - all over stomach, thighs, back, sides of ribcage, tops of legs boobs and even my shoulders where my boobs got so big! my son is now 6 months old and despite loosing weight and spending pounds on every cream avaliable there still here and bright red - ive just resigned myself to the fact i have terrible skin - and the fact no one bar my husband is ever going to see them and hes been really good in boosting my confidence so mayb a chat with her partner will reassure her? (and the fact she cant possibly look as bad as me) x

Stretchmarks tend to be genetic to be honest and creams will do nothing except moisturise your skin... I have terrible stretch marks from a massive weight loss and now I am getting more from pregnancy at 13wks.

I didn't get any till I went over due! A few under my bump and the ones from puberty on my thighs just resericted themselves but they fade fast. Tell your sister it's like a permanent symbol she's a mum,!

I got loads first pg no extra ones second pg. But 5 years on and they have faded so much you can barely see them.
