Got any third trimester revelations for me?

Hi all. I've just made it into the third trimester today - woo hoo!!

So far I haven't found pregnancy too bad. My bump is getting bigger (the stretchmarks are in the post no doubt!) Baby more active these days and I occasionally have problems sleeping but I am still pretty mobile at the moment and feeling ok.

I just wondered if there's anything new I need to be aware of for the third trimester - AND if anyone has any tips for surviving it?

I am having an elective c-sec so I get to meet my baby in 12 weeks. Have a feeling it is going to drag!

Hmm, you sound like me, I was v nauseous in the first trimester, but the second was a breeze. Then came the last few weeks - heartburn, tiredness, waddling round like an elephant! The heartburn was worst for me, oh and the awful P word - piles... But before you know it you will have your lovely baby and any pregnancy discomforts will quickly be forgotten. Enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy, spoil yourself as much as possible and get as much rest as you can. And all the best!

Second the heartburn and piles. Be prepared. I used the minor ailments scheme and got the anusol in early. Saved my life ib last week. ... And sleep and fill your freezer. Good luck!

Congratulations! I am 38 and a half weeks now and have to say that the thing that's surprised me most is that I really feel pretty good still. From what other people had told me I was expecting to be waddling around suffering all sorts of aches and pains and ailments by now, but aside from a bit of rib ache (baby is breech with head right under ribs) and discomfort bending forwards too much for the same reason, I feel good. I get tired easier now and out of breath if I walk too fast, but the bump is pretty compact still, no stretchmarks and I've been very lucky not to get heartburn etc. I am sure lots of other people on here will hate me for my good fortune - and I am aware I've been very lucky! - but just wanted to let you know it's not necessarily going to be too much different to the second trimester. It has been nice feeling the baby grow, and being able to feel which bit of the baby is which now - I can sit and stroke mine's back and head (as it's breech!) and cup its feet in my hands and it's lovely Smile.
