Hair Bleach

Hello,

This is my first post here, so hello everyone!

I just wanted to know whether anyone has any concrete advice on bleaching hair during pregnancy, I am currently 6+3 with my 3rd child and have roots the length of the M6. My hair is Gwen Stefani blonde (but naturally light brown) and I don't know whether I can keep it up or not during pregnancy.

I coloured my hair in my last 2 pregnancies with semi-permanent colours (although they had peroxide in but no ammonia) but this is the first time I've been full-on bleach blonde!

Help - I need to sort my hair out or risk never leaving the house!

Cheers! Sarah x

I would think the smell would put me off tbh, it can be quite strong

Thanks girlies,

I think I'll wait til the 2nd trimester to be sure....if the roots police don't take me away before then.

My DD (3.8) said to me that I look "nice, like a badger", and that's the look I am going to rock for the next 6 weeks: badger fashion, it's the future!

I had a full head of highlights at 17 weeks as I heard it safer then bleaching colour all over. I don't think it can cause much harm anyway to be honest, however I will agree that the smell of it is powerfull.

i had my hair highlighted at 9 weeks, 19 weeks, 34 weeks and having it done again at 40weeks and i didnt notice the smell even during the first trimester. It doesnt cause any harm to baba but pregnancy hormones can affect the way your hair responds to the dye (my friends hair went very yellow!).

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks if baby comes out bleach blonde or if there was no effect Grin
