Nose Bleeds.....

Anyone suffering with nose bleeds during their pregnancy? I woke up this morning and my nose just exploded!! Its not the first time either.....

I had some spectacular ones with my first child, make sure you mention it to your mw though cause if they are regular they may affect your iron levels, x

I'm not getting the blood running out of my nose kind of nosebleeds, but every morning I get a combination of blood clots and fresh blood when I blow my nose (sorry if tmi), and several times throughout the day I'll get the same.

It's really kind of gross and makes me really paranoid about sneezing unless I have a tissue immediately to hand!

I had a few when I was pregnant.

I've had loads! Normally in the most embarassing situations too! It is extremely common, don't worry oyou are not the only one. Best incident, in the middle of a very important presentation and the tap opened and also choked me, so ended up spluttering, coughing and sneezing blood all over the projector screen! oh the shame!

Yep had this in both pregnancies. Some last 40 minutes plus and are really heavy with massive clots etc...sorry if tmi! They usually come on randomly in the middle of the night!

Just seen the midwife this am and mentioned this. She said it is very common in pg as the blood vessels enlarge and there is nothing you can do about it except have lot of tissues to hand. It's not harmful in any way but do mention it to m/w in case your iron levels need topping up.

Backwards same for me too, clots etc!! And nosebleeds too...

Never happened with the other 2 pg's.

I have had my 1st ever adult nose bleed, while pregnant

I was being extremely violently sick at the time, as also have hyperemisis

Yes, I had nosebleeds every day. I mentioned it to the doctor and he gave me an antibiotic nasal cream (think it was called Nasaptin?? sic). It really helped, and nosebleeds were rare after that and never as bad. Definitely worth mentioning.

I had three in a week at Christmastime and my mum's (midwife for thirty odd years) first reaction was "Are you pregnant?" so very common. Ironically I wasn't at the time but since about week three (so before my BFP) I've been getting blood and other gunk every time I blow my nose. Which is also constantly blocked and gross. I sound like Darth Vader. My OH is not amused with me lol...
