That is right, you heard it hear first, this is my 2nd pregnancy and by all accounts I have been eating like Elvis Presley.

If it has lots of butter, salt, sugar then I WANT it. For 11's today I had pancakes with butter fried bananas and caramel sauce with a dollop of double cream.

If this continues I will have a terrible heart condition and a baby for the Guiness Book.

It has got to stop. But I can't!

How many weeks are you onga? I ate like Mr Creosote in the early weeks of my pg too....anything fatty sweet or salty. I think it was a combo of body needing more fat reserves and the salt thing can be the bodys way of raising blood pressure as it can be low in early pg. If anyone waved a vegetable at me then I would have thrown up. The good news is that it has got more under control as the pg has progressed and the MW doesnt tutt anymore when she weighs me. Dont worry too much about it - try and be a little bit sensible , maybe seeing if raisins will help the sweet cravings, stuff like that but I wouldnt stress too much.

8 weeks, so yes I am hoping it will tail off, my blood pressure is low, but MW said it was good low not bad low. I have not heard that before what you say about salt intake. Interesting.

I hope it passes, I don't usually eat like this. Piggy!

I'm 11 weeks and I was just saying to a friend earlier I am eating enormous amounts! Have been craving sweet stuff, but also lots of dairy, and lots of protein (cheese and meat - had a cheeseburger for lunch today for the first time in ages). Pretty much all food really! :)

I'm hoping it will tail off a bit too, but for the moment am just enjoying the excuse to eat with gay abandon (and try to remember to have the occasional apple too!)

As long as you don't start eating deep fried squirrel a la Elvis you'll be ok Wink

I know! I was in my kitchen earlier with the frying pan in one hadn and a pat of butter by my side, and do you know what ran through my head- "fried penut butter sandwiches, mmmmmmmm" I did not do it, but I came close.

That is so messed up!

Oh believe me, when I'd got over the sickness in the morning I ate ridiculous amounts of stuff that was bad for me in early pregnancy too. Was aware of the fact that I was supposed to be eating "good" foods but no!! All I wanted was anything that I could smother in nutella, Jaffa cakes (boxes and boxes of them), anything that was high in carbs and fried. Thankfully it calmed down and now I just eat "normally" again but I remember worrying that if I carried on eating the way I was I'd be facing all kinds of problems. :-/

Look forward to later stages when your stomach is so squished you wont have an appetite...except that I've been eating mini eggs....crisps....fizzy cola bottles...hmmmmm
Surely nutella is good for you..protein in nuts, and jaffa cakes are orange...thats 1 of your five a day right!
