27weeks preg - baby shaking inside me??

im 27 weeks and earlier on today, baby was moving, kicking ect. then my belly started to shake? however it felt more like it was baby shaking.
this is my first so i dont know whats normal and whats not.
is this a normal thing to happen?
what could the shaking be?
is this anything for me to be worried about?

could it have been hicoughs?

Hi Loubilouu, I know exactly what you mean as I have had this a few times in this pregnancy, not sure what it is or anything but baby is fine and the midwife isnt concerned so Im assuming it is normal.
The baby does all sorts of magic tricks and flipping and moving around so Im sore its nothing to worry about but if in doubt mention it to your midwife.

I've also had this before in my last pregnancy - no one could tell me what it was but my daughter turned out fine so don't worry about it and it seems fairly common (I found a few threads on MN about it at the time). It is a very strange vibrating feeling though!

I screamed for the midwife in the middle of the night once (I was in hospital for a long time so on edge anyway) because I thought my baby was having seizures inside me

she reassured me it was hiccups

I'm 28weeks with DC3 and he does it all the time, its actually makes me feel a bit sea sick. Its kinda cute but sooo annoying at 3am.

My friends baby used to do it all the time!! Then when she came out, when shed get cross, she would shake!! It was hilarious!!!
My baby used to kick both legs at the same time up into my lungs, propper take my breath away, then when she cam out, whenever shed get upset or cross she'd do exactly the same, it was so funny!!!

Im 26+3 and I get that feeling! It's wonderful, I love it. I wish I could film her 24/7 to see what she's doing inside me! Your baby is obviously very happy inside you. All the kicking and wriggling I feel inside me, its just great! She's just exploring!

I've had this loads - almost like baby having little seizure!!! which i think is why its a bit scary! Only lasts seconds and i'm not worried there's anything wrong

i get this too but it only happend once then stops. dd did it also and she is fine. dont worry its normal.
