When did your morning sickness start?

Hi,
I was wondering when other people's morning sickness started as I haven't had any yet - not that I want it! I was expecting that I would as I'm generally prone to being sick (I get upset - I throw up. I drink 3 glasses of wine - I throw up. I'm even slightly ill - I throw up.) but nothing so far, although I'm only 6+2.
As I say, it's not that I want to be ill, just wondering when most people started.
Thanks,
Rachael

lolajane2009 · 07/03/2011 22:40

around 7 or 8 weeks, I didnt know I was pregnant till I was 6 and a half weeks though.

lovemybabyboy · 07/03/2011 22:42

Hi Im 6+5 and have started with a mild nausea over the last week off and on.
With my DS I had worse MS but only vomited once, can remember at how many weeks the ms started though as he is now 2.3yrs. Smile

I had a mmc last august cant remember having morning sickness with that pregnancy even though baby died at 8 weeks.

All pregnancies are different, some people dont get ms, and some people get it really bad.

5+3, but I was carrying twins. Perhaps you'll be one of the lucky ones who escapes it.

localcrackpot · 07/03/2011 22:50

Thanks all, this is really helpful. So sorry for your loss, ilovemybabyboy.

Urgh! From 5+ weeks on in my case and it always lasts for nearly the whole pregnancy. A lot of women don't get it. One of my work colleagues had no symptoms at all on either of her pregnancies and said if she hadn't had the BFP she wouldn't have known she was pregnant.Envy Pray you're like my colleague and not like me!

lolajane2009 · 07/03/2011 23:42

i'm 12 + 3 and mine is dropping off now so it does fade in most people.

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 07/03/2011 23:51

The morning after! With DD I was sick straight away! Literally! Confused

CointreauVersial · 07/03/2011 23:53

About 6 weeks.

But I only had it mildly with DS1, none at all with DD1, but really badly with DD2. No idea why!

MmeBucket · 07/03/2011 23:56

Never for either pregnancy.

From 5 weeks with DD and it didn't end - throwing up in the carpark of the hospital on the way in to give birth!

Currently pg with DC2, nausea from about 6 weeks, the occasional vomit in week 7 but now I'm 8 weeks it's hit with full force. Hoping it doesn't last too long.

Fingers crossed you avoid it altogether!

OrangeGloss · 08/03/2011 07:05

8 weeks on the dot for me. It peaked around 11/13 weeks at 5 times a day, and is now tailing off to once a day - as long as I stay away from spicy food, which I love but now hurl straight back up Blush

summerblock · 08/03/2011 07:52

It hit me like a brick wall at 6+4 ! Prior to that I convinced myself there was something wrong as I did not feel pregnant at all ...I had early scan yesterday and saw little bean's heart flickering away :-) ....I had also experienced some brown spotting in my not feeling sick days ... Again, normal and ok ! ... Hope that helps x

MirandaWest · 08/03/2011 08:02

Somewhere between 6 and 7 weeks in both pregnancies.

kateepie2 · 08/03/2011 08:14

I started feeling nauseous the day after I conceived... still going strong 8+2!

Limelight · 08/03/2011 08:28

With DS it was from about 8 to 20 weeks. With DD it was from. 6 weeks to birth, with a couple of weeks off at about 20 weeks.

Molybdenum · 08/03/2011 09:18

Nausea started a bit after 6 weeks, had my first vomit bang on 7 weeks. Daily vomiting ensued. Then, at 10 weeks an acupuncturist friend of mine stuck a couple of needles in my wrist while we having dinner at the pub and it was like a miracle! The intense nausea (I had actually just thrown up) stopped INSTANTLY and hasn't really been back.
To anyone suffering: please please please book some acupuncture. It was just like an off switch. Amazing!

ShowOfHands · 08/03/2011 09:20

From about 9 days post conception.

Stops around 13 weeks for me though so it's not all bad.

TinyDiamond · 08/03/2011 09:23

7+1, New years eve. Which means every single day this year I have been sick. Hoping it will end soon, I'm 17 weeks now though... :(

nannyl · 08/03/2011 09:36

5+5 for vomiting. nausea 4 weeks
however by 8 weeks it had become hyperemeisis and i was in hospital.
am now 13 weeks, and still pretty sick, despite anti-sick pills, and acupuncture

moonbells · 08/03/2011 09:41

Indigestion from pretty much the start, I was being treated by GP for acid reflux problems before either of us twigged it was pg-related! It got progressively worse and by week 9 I was flat out in bed as soon as I got in from work. Then it got worse - spent Easter unable to even get out of bed without being sick and ended up in A&E on Easter Monday with hyperemesis gravidarum dehydration. I got out of hosp a week later and spent the next 5 weeks trying to get to the point where I could actually eat.
The sickness finally vanished at 18-19 weeks, though it felt a lot longer!

Bumpsadaisie · 08/03/2011 09:49

Started feeling nauseous 5-6 weeks, 7 weeks, felt much more nauseous and threw up a couple of times. Am now 8 weeks and throwing up two or three times each day. Though it tends just to be saliva that comes up rather than my food, which is good.

Wombat33 · 08/03/2011 10:23

Not really until 8 weeks and then it was on and off. Felt rough by about 10/11 weeks but only actually vomitted twice. Now 13 weeks and hoping it is tailing off! Congrats on your pregnancy!

localcrackpot · 08/03/2011 18:15

Thanks everyone. I'm quite up for not having it at all! Fingers crossed :)
