Twins - how did it feel in the first 12 weeks?

Right - i'm 8+5 and this is my 4th child.

So i've done this before - but ... last time was 11 years ago!

Now, i do not remember feeling this 'full' at this point with my others. I think i feel more like 4 months. Boobs are as i would expect, like pre period - bit tender when the bra comes off at night, and 2 cup sizes bigger already. Hmm

No MS, but VERY VERY tired all the time. Raging hunger - but cant eat much before feeling uky.

So - my question is - can anyone who has had a single birth and a multiple birth describe any symptom differences during the first trimesters.

Can anyone in fact who has had twins tell me any specific symptoms?

My partner says i'm being paranoid! I do have a fear of having twins - but i've only been thinking about it since i felt so very 'over full' and tender in the tum. It even feels uncomfy to bend over to pick things up for goodness sake Confused

Congratulations Grin

Can't help with twins question sorry but I am pg with DC4 and my uterus was really high from early on which I have never had before but only 1 baby in there so maybe it's to do with your body growing/ stretching quicker in later pg?

Hi

Im mum of 3 year old twins. I was very very very tired and yes uncomfortable. lots of stretching and movement. Couldnt bring myself to do anything.

Im now 31 + 2 with only one and not as tired, can sleep so much better but having a big baby so uncomfortable.

dont be scared you just have to realise your body is coping with 2 babies not one. dont worry about the raging appetite thats the best bit!! As with all pregnancies the yucky feeling will go. I would take extra iron tablets and vitamins as your body will need it.

Good luck twins are so much fun.

I had the worst foggy brain ever, to the point that on the way to our first scan I told my husband it was twins and I was right. I was BEYOND knackered for the first tri, and was showing quoits clearly by 9 weeks. Best of luck!

Ive had 1 singleton, 1 set of twins and pregnant with the 2nd set of twins at the mo.

With twins I have been much much more tired even not working compared to working with number 1. I was in maternity clothes at 8 weeks both times, felt alot more stretching in the belly early on too. Morning sickness was bad last twins, this pregnancy its been horrendous - all day every day from 10 - 22 weeks.

If it is twins it will feel scary to start with but believe me its worth it - my girls are 2.5 now and currently playing Mr potato heads together lol Im pregnant with boys this time and due in 9 weeks if I get that far.
