Old Wives Tales??

So....I went for my 16 week check up with the midwife today and heard my baby's heart beat :) it was 160....she said that is very good and strong, they apparently average at around 140.

Ive heard that if your having a girl her heart beat will be much faster...is this true?

I am having a 3D/4D scan on thursday so I will find out the sex then...I'm just eagerly waiting and cant stop wondering what im having :)

Anyone have anything to back this old wives tale up or is it just rubbish.

I have 3 daughters, and was not told the sex of any of them b4 the birth, so lots of guessing went on right up to the birth with each one.

With 1st and 3rd it was anyones guress,

With my 2nd all the midwives said the baby was large and the heart beat slow so it would be a boy ..... worng!

the only one that does seem to have been fairly consistently true (though no doubt someone will come on here and tell me not in a minute) is the one about boy bumps being all neat and out the front and girl bumps being more all over "big".certainly is the case with me anyway!

I'm 21 weeks pregnant with a little boy and have put on weight all over, definitely not a neat bump.
