Does Moxibustion work?

Just wondered if anyone had any success stories of Moxibustion?

I've got an appointment booked tomorrow with a local midwife who is registered. I'm 35+5 and baby has been breach since 28weeks.

Not sure what the chances are but willing to give anything a try now as DD was born at 36+2 with a very straightforward labour and birth.

Got growth and presentation scan on Thursday and then will get ECV booked for early next week if no success before then.

thanks

Research shows that its about 70% effective which I think is comparable with ECV success rates. I'd certainly give it a go, nothing to lose and all that.

My baby's breech too (am 37 + 6 now) and I tried moxibustion from 34-36 weeks - it didn't work for me but I've heard it has for other people (a friend of a friend said it worked for her). We went to see an accupuncturist and she showed us how to use the moxa sticks at home and sent us away with a few. It was nice and relaxing to start with but I have to admit that by the end of 2 weeks of singeing my toes for half an hour a day, it was getting a bit tedious and uncomfortable! But I'm glad I tried. My ECV also failed - baby is either stubborn or stuck! - but again I'm glad I tried it and the consultant did say it had a higher chance of working if you've had a previous pregnancy, so hopefully it will work for you.
