Pain in my lower right hand side

Hi All, I have had a cold for about 6 days I am 21 weeks pregnant and when I was coughing i felt really worried that I was about to bring on labour and give birth on the spot. I feel quite a bit better today but I have a pain in my right hand side under my bump, where you would get period pains i suppose. I am worried that its something serious has anyone else had anything like that or is it cause for concern? Its hurting now while I am sitting down. :(

I've been getting painful little twinges in that area for a week or so now (am 19+1). Don't know what brings them on or why they go away. I haven't had a cold though.

If you are worried I would see your GP or midwife.

Could be a pulled muscle from coughing? Also you do tend to get stretching pains, esp. if it's your first.

Please speak to your midwife for reassurance but I would imagine you've pulled a ligament coughing - they get looser when you're pregnant anyway. I used to pull mine turning over in bed - really sore!

I had this after a chest infecttion at 6 weeks, at that stage i was worried about an ectopic so went for a scan, after ruling out any problems, they said it could be muscle/ligament pain and sometimes you just get unexplained pains! i am sure its nothing to worry about but call your MW if it will put your mind at rest.
