Hello, this is my first baby love to talk to others due at same time to support each other through.

I am 33 and this was planned but had my 'what the f**ck have I done' freak out last week, didn't sleep for about one whole week and generally went a bit mental :)

During my freak out a good mate suggested I came on here to get some 'real' advice and support. Don't know about you but I am finding all the pregnancy books a bit fluffy round the edges, with pictures of happy couples skipping through fields.

Just would love to hook up with some other mums due at same time experienced or not to freak out together, console each other and hopefully enjoy this together :)

I live in Gloucester in the SW, come say Hola!

Katie xx

Hi Katie,

I am 32, having my first and due in October too! I had the freak out few days the week before last and other than that just trying to fight off the constant nausea.

Going to tell my husband's parents today.... we are going on holiday with them on Wednesday for a week so thought it would be good for them to know!

Nice to meet people due around the same time as you Smile

Girls - do come and join us all on the October 2011 Ante-Natal thread - loads of us on there (all moaning and feeling sick and waiting nervously for scans!)

Hi Katie
I'm also 33 and on baby 1. Am a November 'due' though, not Oct. Reading your bit was like reading my mind! I had exactly the same freak out last week but have calmed down a bit now - due in the main to seeing how excited my parents were when I ended up telling them at the weekend! The most ridiculous thing at the moment is that I feel a bit of a fraud! I know I'm pregnant: I missed my period, had (still have) ridiculously sore breasts and (kind of key...) a positive test but because it's so early, it doesn't feel 'real' yet! Still only 5+5, so there's time for all that yet....

Hi Katie,

I am soon to be 32 and 10+3 with my first, which happen to be id twins. Freak out pretty much covers it! They are due on 2nd October but from everything I've read since finding out there is a pretty high chance they'll be putting in an appearance before then!

I've been fairly sick in the mornings and completley shattered but other that am doing ok.

How far along are you and how are you feeling? x

georgethecat · 10/03/2011 18:06

Hola ladies!

laabama - I'm sure allowances can be made for a November baby :) Yea thinking of my mum nearly throwing up in Primark when I told her made me laugh & saw me through the dark times of the week 5 freak out. Hormones are so weird though because I've pinged the other way now and feel like I'm on acid & everything is extra lovely! Yes I must be a week ahead than and desperate for something to establish that I am indeed pregnant I keep thinking I have a bump then I do a fart Blush and it goes again hahaha

silverangel - OMG fairplay you are due a dose of double freakout! However I did see a lady today with an enormous pushchair with triplets in and knowing a little bit more about pregnancy now than I did two months ago I felt respect for the poor woman's reproductive bits.

Mondayschild78 - hope the telling of the parents went well and you are enjoying a lovely holiday! Hopefully your woodstock style acid hormones have kicked in too :)

Hope you are all well ladies, don't be strangers xxx

KatieWatie · 22/03/2011 12:29

Hi Katie, I'm Katie, also 33 in the SouthWest and on my first (we have much in common!)

I'm career minded but just seem to have found myself pregnant via an 'accident', a MC, and a load of mental emotions that meant I got suddenly desperate to have a baby.
Anyway I'm happy it's happening but I am somewhat freaking out too, I never saw myself as a mum particularly but I always thought I'd have a kid at some point, just wasn't sure how or when it was going to happen Confused.

I'm due Oct 7th but that might be revised following my scan next Weds.

Good to meet you, I'll head on over to the other thread too but in all honesty the number of posts is somewhat off-putting!

Good luck and congrats

Hi everybody, just to say silverangel I'm due the same day as you, but with just one! Congrats. I'm not going to hang around on here as I'm on the 'fancy a chat' September thread (had LMP-based date in Sept, then had '12-week' scan which put the baby younger, by which point had been on thread for ages), but would like to say congratulations and good luck to everybody!

Swedes1 · 22/03/2011 12:43

Son concussed and pass out after a collision on the rugby field. Again--.

KatieWatie · 22/03/2011 13:15

^^ Confused

supergreenuk · 22/03/2011 13:25

Due 22nd oct with my second. I did I freak out as I hate being pregnant and was really dreading going through it all again. Also the thought of having 2 monsters running around. ( cute ones though.)
My scan is booked for 12th April so we are counting the days.

georgethecat · 23/03/2011 08:45

Hey Katie Watie, what part SW you from? I'm in Gloucester.

Yea I felt the same about the other thread, I just wanted to meet a few bods to chat to occasionally but there are soooo many people on there, you'd never keep up with all that was going on.

Yes, I'm a total freaker too and am a career lady. Its weird isnt it because its something you don't have control over, work can be sorted but pregnancy is quite mysterious.

I think the best way to deal with it is to think of it in small chunks. I'm 8 + 3 so all I'm thinking about is the booking appt. and the scan. When I first found out I made the mistake of skipping a few chapters ahead in the book to look at the birth big mistake. Now I have put that bit in a compartment and will not think about it until I need to prepare :)

Hi to both Bristol ladies too! turning into a SW thread......mind

I'm 11+1 in Surrey. I've got my scan on the 30th of March and can't wait! Baby due on the 11th of October. We already have a 3 yo DD who was due on the 10th of October but was born on the 21st of September so we'll see!

LDNmummy · 23/03/2011 11:48

Hey guys, I hopped on the October baby bus but there was too much going on on there for me to keep up too. Wishing you all happy pregnancies! I am having my frist scan today at 12 weeks exact and due October 5th.

I have been having so much anxiety as I have not seen my LO yet but can't believe I am 3 months in already Shock

supergreenuk · 24/03/2011 08:29

Having feel like I've joined this group I wondered if anyone minded me sharing my stress today. I a horribly bad tummy last night and I have no idea what could have caused it as DH and DD are fine. Of course you freak as you worry about what it's doing to the baby. Like I said befor, I hate being pregnant. Wouldn't change a thing though.

Anyone in the Kettering area?
