I went to work this morning full of beans, feeling like I could conquer Everest and by lunch I felt like I had been hit by a bus!
I have had loose enough bowel movements (sorry if TMI), groin pain and a dull ache in my lower back. What the heck is going on? This is my first so I may just be getting over anxious!
Any suggestions? Feel pretty yucky and am concerned I won't get through the next 3 days work. Thanks.

See Your Midwife. Two out of three of my labours started pretty much like that Wink Not wanting to alarm you or anything Grin

Mine started the same way at 36 weeks. Thought I had a stomach bug, baby born 8 hrs later. Good luck.

Ooh, I've had this for the last week (currently 37+2). Groin cramps (usually in the morning), lower back/pelvic aches (worse at night) and BH with pain low down(alright, I mean on my cervix!) from midday till about 9pm every day! (I've had BH since 20 weeks, without the pain though).

As I say, this has been going on a week. I've got another week left at work, but I'm bouncing on my ball like a loony, hoping i can encourage a bit more action today.

Let us know if anything exciting happens YogaMummy!

Petalouda · 06/03/2011 14:56

After a week, I'm not holding my breath! But thanks! Grin

Go and get checked out just in case.

Hi all, thanks for advice. All gone back to quiet on the Western or should that read Southern front? I woke up with a deep ache in my lower back but after running lots of hot water over it in the shower all calmed down. I sincerely hope that I don't go quite this early, I have a lovely water, hypnobirth planned and doubt I would be allowed to go to the natural birth unit if I went early. Legs are crossed until end of week!
Petalouda how are you getting on?

Nothing here either. Just still generally achey pelvis & back.

Work tomorrow should be fun! I might take my wheat bag in!

MrsShrekTheThird · 06/03/2011 23:05

good, good. You carry on crossing your legs and we'll keep on crossing our fingers for you Grin

YogaMummy2B · 06/03/2011 23:10

Oh, you are very good, still at work. When do you finish? I have two more days to go. Not planning to do too much apart from go out for lunch and try to have a general late pregnancy glow!! I have been v. organised and finished my handover today.

Last week this week. Thank goodness! I love my job, but i'm getting so exhausted!
Then probably another 4 weeks of excited anticipation before this one puts in an appearance!

Bogeyface · 07/03/2011 09:23

IS this your first?

First labours can take ages to get going, the changes can start up to a couple of weeks before hand (see threads on here about Shows happening weeks before labour starts!) so it could be that your body is gearing up and is in pre pre pre labour.

Fingers (and legs!) crossed that you make it to 37 weeks and have the birth you want. :)
