This is just a rant ....I have been with my sister today and i was talking to her about a pram i was interested in on E-Bay. The seller is been wierd and as i am new to E-Bay I thought i would speak to my sister who is not! Any way i am 11wks(on monday) and she ripped shreds of me telling me i was daft for even looking and anything could go wrong so i shouldn't bother untill i have had my 12 week scan and even then things could go wrong!!! I felt so ..... i can't even explain i think the word is sneeped Blush. To top it off NONE of our families have even congratulated us...Sad this is our 5th child and was very not planned.. but even so ggggrrrrrr sorry told you it was a rant!!

And breathe!

Congratulations :)

You need to remember that however exciting it is for you, it's just not the same for anyone else. They've probably overlooked congratulating you thinking that they've already said it, or are otherwise waiting to have a look at the scan photo.

Some people are just superstitious about looking for things or having stuff in the house before the end of pregnancy - DH wouldn't have the pram in the house before DD was born (although everything else we'd need for her seemed to be exempt from the hex it would seem Hmm)

Congratulations again!

Congratulations! Sounds like they're being a bit insensitive. You can feel so crap awful in the first trimester - what's so wrong about looking at baby gear to get a bit of excitement going?? (Afterall there are fewer surprises when you've got a few kids already).

It might be that your families are concerned that they don't want to hype it up until after 12 weeks. But if everthing has been fine up til now, it probably will carry on being fine.

We found friends much more encouraging and excited with number three. I guess there are just more babies in the family now...

Wishing you a glorious pregnancy. x
