Pulled Muscle???

Last night I woke up at one stage and behind my left shoulder blade was sore, the pain travelled up to my shoulder and felt muscular and I couldn't sleep on my left side. Today whenever I move about a lot it's really sore and its very sore to breathe, cough, sneeze etc but it's eases when I sit still. I'm 37 weeks btw.
Is it just a pulled muscle or could it be something more sinister.......baby has had lots of movements today so think she is ok anyway.

mmmm.... not sure maybe you should get it checked out, maybe ring your midwife in the morning see what she says. If the baby is moving though I would have thought it is ok. Sounds like a muscle pull.
I pulled a muscle at 22 weeks Im not 28 weeks and it still hurts. I ended up in hospital for two days as the pain I was suffering was near my kidney and they thought I might have a kidney stone, but it was just the muscle I had pulled going into spasm. So painful. All your ligaments are stretched and soft so very easy to pull something

sounds muscular but if you have any concerns, call the out of hours for advice.

Sounds like a pulled muscle to me too. I ended up in hospital at 20 weeks because I pulled a muscle in my side - I felt really silly when it was diagnosed. It is so easy to do in pregnancy though.

If it is a pulled muscle it will ease if you put some heat on it. Maybe a heat pad or something. If you're worried though you should get it checked out.
