conception after stopping bf with no af inbetween?

Has anyone caught that elusive first egg? when did you decide to test? THe last feed I did was the 15 th feb. and have been having more cm since...bonked like rabbits... but dont really know when to test ( ok- honestly i have done one bfn but have no idea when to POAS again... £££) has anyone else got experience here?

That happened to me, I hadnt had a period since my DD was born, and the got pregnant. I had only tested because I thought I should, IYSWIM. It meant that I didnt have a clue about my due date, so had to wait for the scan to tell me.

I hadn't stopped bfing DD when I conceived but I did catch the first egg! DD was 15 months and I noticed EWCM plus felt ovulation pain. Was just pleased that my system appeared to be cranking back to life and was waiting for my period to confirm it.

To cut a long story short, I had a small bleed not long after which I assumed was an attempt at a period, but a wee while later decided to wee on a stick after a weekend of feeling dreadful(felt sick and tired)and it was positive! Got a 3+weeks reading on a Clearblue digital.

Turns out the bleeding was from a cervical erosion, as I bled again because of it quite heavily at 7 weeks and had an early scan. 12 week scan also confirmed egg was released from the side I had felt the pain on.

Currently 28 weeks pg with DC2 so it can be done!

It's happened twice to me, last two babies. This time dd was 17 months & we weren't ttc was a drunken mishap (am still breastfeeding ). The time before was immediately after a loss at 17 weeks. I haven't had a period since the beginning of 2008.

I had no idea about dating - particularly this last time as we weren't in ttc mode. I thought I was about 6 weeks when I was scanned, turned out I was closer to 9 - I only tested because I started puking expectedly!
