I lost my mucous plug 3 weeks ago which was not ideal as also had some contractions and period cramps and was only 34+5. Had steroids and got 'observed' in hospital for a few days but then it settled a bit. 3 weeks later I have awful braxton hicks off and on all day every day and period cramping. Also have (sorry tmi) urgent bowel clearing almost every day, few more much smaller pieces of plug coming away, more discharge and feel increasingly nauseous. Anyway now 37+5 so term and just wondered how much longer this might go on for as v v uncomfortable.

Any experiences welcomed thank you in advance.

You might find then that you'll go early but still there's not tell tale sign! That's the joy of pregnancy I'm afraid! You can actually loose your mucus plug very early in pregnancy and carry till term! As long as the sac is in tact it holds itself! And Braxton hicks can be horrible, just as horrible as early labour which can also go on for numerous weeks! And that could be what's upsetting your bowels!
Hopefully, it won't last too much longer as technically your just hitting full term and can go any day now! But very exiting!
Maybe just spend the next few days relaxing and plenty of sex with husband will get things moving along very quickly! Worked a treat with my two girls! Next time you have midwife get her to examine you and she'll tell toy what you cervix is doing! You maybe dilating very slowly, sometimes you can be in slow labour fir over a week! Everybody is different, and these things are highly unpredictable!
Hope everything goes well for you very soon x x
