Am 26+3 and feeling thoroughly rubbish! I am currently suffering with a chest and throat infection which I am on antibotics for. Doc told not to work for the rest of last week so I didn't but I am beginning to wonder if I'll even be ready to go back on Monday.

I went for a bath and hairwash yesterday and that was enough to wipe me out completely! I feel like I can't be taking anymore time off seeing as the week before last I was off as I had to go to Scotland for my Gran's funeral, came back, worked Monday & Tuesday then off again with this infection and am worried that people will start to get pissed off with the preggo!!

Sorry, not sure what I was hoping to achieve with this post but starting to feel really really rotten just now.

If you go back to work before you are ready you'll only end up feeling worse and having to take more time off. People won't be annoyed at you for being genuinely sick, you can't help it. Just rest and focus on getting better and don't go back till you feel 100%!

Agree with the above - you're now coming up to your third trimester so you're going to feel tired anyway. Add to that a nasty infection and you really need to rest up and get your strength back. If you still feel rubbish tomorrow call your doc and get him/her to sign you off for a few more days. There is nothing to be gained by dragging yourself in when you're still ill. I'm 29+6 and a SAHM who's had a wretched cold this past week, so you have my sympathy.
