Morning ladies :)

Even though im pregnant with my 3rd last one was nearly 6 years ago and i feel like a total newbie to the whole being pregnant thing! So im looking hopefully for your thoughts..?

Last night i had a bath and added someone lavender bath salts - i didnt add too many or at least i dont think and the smell was quite strong.

I was in bath for a good 20-25 mins then not long after i got out i had some strong stabbing pains on the inside of my fanjo. To the point i made loud 'owwww' sounds. Then shortly after my lower back started to ache.

I probably had about 5 stabbing pains in space of about 45 minutes then they dissapeared. The lower back pain started off as hardly anything but it did keep coming and going. I usually go bed by 10pm as im usually shattered by then having a 5 year old and 7 year old but back ache was getting slightly more and more painfull to the point i questioned myself weather this was the start of labour ? Any by 11.45pm i decided to try and get some sleep... but could i ? NOPE - the pain was def coming and going and feeling stronger so off i went downstairs till 2.10am - this was when i started to feel sick and dashed into the bathroom. After i was sick the back ache eased a little so was finally able to get some sleep.

Woke up this monrning .. still slight back ache but nothing much .. and now theres hardly anything there at all.

So just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this? Ive had no pain across my tummy at all.

If im honest im kinda dissapointed its calmed right down!!

Hiya! I am overdue with number 3 and have been experiencing pains for the last 6 weeks. I am having a home birth and called the midwife out on Monday as the lower back pain you described was getting stronger and stronger - to the point where it was bringing me to tears (and I know I'm not soft having not had any pain relief with #2). I was told this was something very common with 3rd pregnancies (!!) and was just fixing pains. Because my baby has been (may still be - not sure) back to back and every time it moves it presses on nerves in my back.
The last 6 weeks have been a nightmare tbh and the worst thing about the pain is the futility of it - if and when it leads to the birth I am more than happy to embrace the pain!!
Good luck and I hope you don't have another 6 weeks of it! xx
